Over the weekend (Friday and Saturday) was forced at Broga camp in Semenyih for a leadership camp thingy.
Not sure why this camp is part of my subject (25% of total course) but well it was fun 
and tiring not to mention the bruises i got from jungle trekking thanks
The said camp involves four parts : jungle trekking, obstacle course, high rope, raft-building and flying fox. Flying fox was awesome! It wasn’t my first experience, but this flying fox totally beats all the others I’ve been through before. Starting at the top, flying over a lake (woohoo) and then with the help of awesome teammates, slowed and halt into a stopping rope and a pile of tyres.
Jungle trekking…well, is jungle trekking. T’was at night, after the supposed high rope which I didnt get to experience coz insufficient time plus it was dinner hour already (we’re only given one hour to makan and I was alrdy eating into the first 30 minutes just waiting for my turn in the high rope part. Then gave up, went to bathe, and still didn’t have time for din coz time to leave to jungle – -
We went through the *insane* jungle (it was a hutan dara…haha…) and to get there we had to cross state over to Negri Sembilan. I didn’t mention the camp was a rather ulu place eh…nottingham uni not very far from there…
I said insane coz, the mountain is extremely steep (there are other steeper mountains out there I know but lets focus on this one). Going up aint so bad as going downnnnnn coz one slip and you’d be literally rolling off the hill till the bottom (and while you’re going through all that, you’d probably got face-whacked by trees and branches and bushes and not to mention bugs…)
I made the stupid-est mistake of wearing two layers. Reason was coz the white shirt I was wearing is rather transparent and being white, not good if i fell or grazed on something I’m not supposed to (means will stain la…), and the green one has a very low front, so wearing either will cost me some exposure the wrong way, so I figured why not wear both? I’m such a dumb dumb, coz after the whole jungle trekking thingy, I was dehydrated, exhausted, and sweating buckets =.=
Raft-building was like a team co-op game. Everybody will have to take part in building a raft that will be able to accomodate ALL the team members AND float on the lake (same lake as said firefox). So they provided a couple of large sticks, rafia strings and 4 tongs. Somehow ours managed to work…and we managed to float on the lake and go round it without any trouble
The obstacle course part was dampen by drizzle. Was difficult on the balancing beams coz was scared that I’ll fall and break something 
Lucky the camp was fun else I wouldn’t be able to get over the sadness coz of the death of my compaq lappy! It started acting weird one morning, screen just stayed black after i pressed the on button (mind, the power light is on). Its like the bios didnt load or something…I had to force shutdown and restart a couple of time before getting it to work but eventually the motherboard prolly couldnt take it anymore
So this sums up my neutral weekend
